1. Do Skype lessons really work?

Definitely! They are just like classroom lessons, but now you see your teacher on the screen. You use your Skype chat box instead of a board and you get all the materials you need via email or Skype. You don’t even have to buy them, as your teacher will provide you with everything you need! All in all, learning via Skype is effective, modern, flexible and eco-friendly!

2. Can children learn English via Skype?

We recommend Skype lessons to children over the age of 12. At this age they can stay focused long enough, they can use a computer well and their lessons are usually not very different from the lessons of adult learners. The conversation topics may vary as the lessons are tailored to the child’s interests.

As for very younger learners, they require teacher’s work that cannot be done via Skype (e.g. organization of physical activities).

However, children differ and if the parent thinks their child is ready to try lessons via Skype, we’ll be happy to try too.

3. I am going to be late for class. What shall I do?

Please contact the manager via Skype or email and let them know about it. You’ll also need to confirm the next lesson. If you are going to be a few minutes late, please notify us of it too. You’ll be able to finish the lesson later or have a longer lesson next time.
Please don’t forget to do it because if you are absent without notice, you will lose the booked lesson.

4. I can’t have a fixed class schedule. Is it a problem?

Not at all. We’ll make sure you have a teacher who can work around your schedule.

5. Can I have group classes?

Yes, you can. In this case, we’ll offer a special discount. For more information please contact the manager.

6. Can I have classes without using a web camera?

Sure. It’s up to you. The teacher will use their camera anyway.

7. Should I use headphones?

It’s preferable. If you use headphones with a microphone, the sound quality will be better, and it will be easier for your teacher to identify any pronunciation problems and deal with them accordingly.

8. What shall we do if there are technical difficulties during the lesson?

You can try to turn off your camera if you use any (the teacher will do the same). Sometimes it helps. But if it doesn’t, the lesson can be stopped. In this case, your next lesson can be loner. If the problems occur at the beginning of the lesson, it is rescheduled or cancelled.

9. Can I pay after my lesson?

No, you can’t. Please make sure you make a payment at least 24 hours before your class.
